Hello

Dr. Michael Cooper was captured by Jesus at the age of 17 and was called to the ministry at 18. He and his wife Kailie are the proud parents of two little girls, Sophia Grace and Lydia Joy. Kailie is active in the nursery, toddler classes, and the Ladies of Grace ministry. She has a passion for reaching women and children with the gospel. 

Having taught the Bible for nearly 20 years in different ministry contexts, Michael has served as the lead pastor of GCC since 2013. He has earned degrees from Criswell College (B.A., M.A.) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ph.D.) with additional academic work at Southern Seminary. He serves as an adjunct professor in preaching at SWBTS and a ethics instructor at Trinity Valley Community College. Michael is the author of various academic and popular level articles. He is passionate about the history of preaching, severe storm-spotting, music, and the Dallas Cowboys.
