Michael Cooper, Jr.
Michael was captured by Jesus at the age of 17 and was called to the ministry at 18. He and his wife Kailie have been married since June 2012 and they are the proud parents of two little girls, Sophia Grace and Lydia Joy. Kailie is active in the nursery, toddler classes, and the Ladies of Grace ministry. She has a passion about reaching women and children with the gospel.
Michael has preached in various churches throughout East Texas for nearly 15 years. Pastor Michael has earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a M.A. in Theological Studies from Criswell College in Dallas Texas. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Preaching and New Testament from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Michael has written various articles for LifeWay Pastors, LifeWay Leadership, Preaching Source, Preaching Magazine, Theology for Life Magazine, and The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. His writing has been featured on websites, blogs, and other publications. He is active in both the state convention (SBTC) and the local association (KVBA). He is passionate about expository preaching, discipleship, severe storm-spotting, drumming, and the Dallas Cowboys. He has been serving as the pastor of GCC since 2013.
Pastor Nick serves as the Associate Pastor of GCC. He has served in various ministry roles for nearly 40 years. He obtained a B.A. in Bible and Pastoral Ministry from Florida Bible College in 1980. He leads the Men of Grace Ministry along with providing pastoral care to the members of Grace Community Church. He is active in the community through preaching revivals, conducting prayer meetings, and serving. He's desire is to see Christ glorified in people's lives.
Director of Ministries
As our native Californian, Cindy serves as our director of ministries. She has served as a ministry assistant for churches and brings this experience to us. Cindy helps oversee the various ministries at Grace. She also supports the pastoral staff by providing wisdom and leadership. Her desire is to see the people of GCC grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Kevin & Pam Wilkerson
Music Ministry Directors
Kevin and Pam serve as the music directors at GCC. They are passionate about God glorifying worship through the classic hymns of the faith. Kevin also teaches our Older Adult Sunday School. After many years Kevin retired from the Plano Fire Department. In his spare time he serves as a board member for Texas Farm Bureau. Pam is a homeschool mom who enjoys playing the piano. They operate a cow-calf operation and a hay baling business in Van Zandt county.
Ladies of Grace Director
Donna Wofford serves as our Ladies of Grace Director. She oversees the Bible Studies, projects, and planning of this important ministry. She has a heart for discipleship and gospel empowerment. Donna served in the medical field for many years and as the associate dean of nursing at the Colorado State University - Pueblo until her retirement to the Cedar Creek Lake. Her husband Jim oversees the property and grounds of GCC.
